Meet the Solicitors
Simon Quantrill LLB
Simon Quantrill is the managing partner of Quantrills. Simon has always specialised in employment law, qualifying as a solicitor in 1991; a time when employment law as a specialism was still novel!
He set up Quantrills in March 2001. Previously he was a partner in a leading Legal 500 firm based in Chelmsford, Essex. Simon's work is varied covering both all forms of employment litigation and advice and guidance work.
Simon appears regularly as an advocate in the employment tribunals. He speaks and writes frequently on employment law topics.
Simon lives with his teenaged son. In his spare time, Simon sails and races his Ajax day boat. He also enjoys photography and is a volunteer Coast Guard.
Julie Temple LLB
Julie Temple is a solicitor and partner at Quantrills.
Julie had an immediate interest in employment law and specialised in employment work after qualifying in September 2002 and joined Quantrills in April 2006. Since 2002 Julie has advised a mix of employers and employees on a wide range of topics and disputes. Julie is a skilled speaker, often speaking on current employment or hr topics.
At Quantrills Julie is head of IT, including the firm's case management software.
Outside of work, Julie is an amateur photographer; she enjoys spending time in and photographing the Suffolk countryside and wildlife. She is also an avid sports fan.
Carly Murphy LLB
Carly Murphy is a solicitor at Quantrills, who joined the firm in April 2008.
Carly acts for both employees and employers, dealing with the widest range of disciplinary and grievance issues. A large part of her work is dealing with compromise agreements for employees.
Carly has numerous awards for dancing, including tap, modern and jazz. She is a keen netball player and enjoys snowboarding and travelling.
