Action RequiredEquality Act 2010 | Will it or won't it?

Doubts were cast over whether the main provisions of the Equality Act 2010 will come into effect as planned in October 2010.  The Government has now announced that they will.

The Government Equalities Office has announced that the 'first wave of implementation of the Equality Act will go ahead to the planned October timetable' and in fact the first commencement order was passed on 5 July 2010.

Summary guides to the Equality Act 2010 have also been published and can be downloaded here.
