New Fit for Work Service Guidance Published

The Department for Work and Pensions has published three new guidance notes for GPs, employers and employees about the new Fit for Work Service that is being phased in between now and May 2015. (The service was previously called the Health and Work Service.)

Fit for Work is free and is promoted as helping employees stay in or return to work. It provides an occupational health assessment and general health and work advice to employees, employers and GPs. The service is intended to complement and not replace an existing occupational health service provided by employers.
