The advice provides information on professional conduct panels which are held as a result of teacher disciplinary action and for the purpose of the regulation of teacher conduct. The guidance concentrates on factors to be taken into account when deciding if a prohibition order on a teacher should be made following a finding of:
- unacceptable professional conduct.
- conduct that may bring the profession into disrepute.
- conviction, at any time, of a relevant criminal offence.
