Redundancy Advice
Introduction
- Have you been dismissed for redundancy?
- Or are you at risk of being dismissed for redundancy?
- Are you unhappy about your selection?
- Has your employer followed a fair procedure?
- Are you concerned that you may have a claim for unfair dismissal?
- Do you think you have been discriminated against?
The employment law solicitors at Quantrills can help answer all of the above questions. We have extensive experience in advising and representing all types and levels of employees who are dealing with redundancy related issues and dismissals.
Comprehensive advice
Redundancy is a potentially fair reason for dismissal and in many cases there will be no or little scope to complain that the employee's dismissal is unfair or discriminatory. Nevertheless, if you are unsure or unhappy in any way about how you are being selected or dismissed for redundancy it is important that you obtain appropriate advice about your legal rights. Ideally you should get this advice as soon as possible and before you are formally notified by your employer that you are being dismissed.
Once instructed, we will check your employer's redundancy procedure and advise you on any issues of concern. We will also discuss with you your concerns and advise you on how best to proceed.
Often employee clients ask us to review what the employer is doing. If nothing else we can provide the reassurance that the employer is not at fault in the way it is implementing dismissals for redundancy. Or we can confirm that the employer's approach is open to criticism and assist in challenging what is being done.
